Health Discussion / anxiety problems with my 7 yr old son

I have a 7 yr old how has dealt with severe vomiting and stomach pain since he was born. At a young age doctor ran gastro test that showed nothing. Zack has an inhertied anxeity problem. Fear of everything from crowds,smells,constant worry about meanial things, seperating problems he is very clingy to me. Does not have any noticable triggers for his anxiety, Almost anything can trigger it. Doctor never prescribed anything to help my son until the start of school. This year is the worst for him he is very sick every morning and at least 1 time in school a day. He takes Reglan for his stomach which does not work. I am ready to take my son to another doctor but not sure where to start. Not sure if he need a test for allergies or diagnotics or mental help..I feel so lost...

I think its for Reglan(metoclopramide),it seems this drug is not suited to your kids.

thank you so much. My son has an appointment today at a mental heath office that deals with children. After Reading those side effects of Reglan I agree that its probably not best for my child. His doctor had mentioned the ohter side effects but never the ones that dealt with nervous conditons.I am going to talk to the new doctor today about this. I have since qiut giving it to my son. Didn't seem to help anyways. THANK you.

Well I guess it's been a while since this topic was posted. If you still come here it will be great to here an update. Your child sounds like he gets similar symptoms to people with social phobia it's a pretty common thing but due to the characteristics of a social phobic it's not talked about often a lot of people have found there is no real cure for that but to discover it from a young age will give him a good chance on how he can learn to manage it. Best of luck, hope he is doing alright.
